What To Eat in Thailand: Must-Try Dishes!

Are you planning a trip to Thailand soon? Try these dishes!

I still recall the vendors selling different kinds of food along the road in front of the school where I worked every morning. The foods were not just delicious but also affordable. You can have a yummy breakfast for just 20 baht.

Here are some foods that I enjoy and I strongly recommend you try!

Looking for something healthy and tasty? Try Jok (Congee), a rice porridge usually eaten for breakfast. You can eat it plain, or you can make it more flavorful by adding some toppings. You can add some meatballs, soft-boiled eggs, julienned ginger, dried shrimp, etc. In addition, I heard it's an ideal food to ease a hangover!

Khao Man Gai is one of my favorite Thai chicken dishes. It is rice (khao) and steamed chicken (gai) with cucumber on the side. It is also served with a bowl of chicken broth and dipping sauce.

You'll never go wrong with Satay. Satay is grilled meat on a skewer and served with a delicious peanut sauce. The peanut sauce is delish!

Pad Khra Pao or Holy Basil Stir-fry. The name comes from one of the main ingredients, khra pao (holy basil). It is stir-fried minced meat (either chicken, pork, or beef) with holy basil and served with rice. You can also order with kai dao (fried egg) on top.

If I wasn't eating Khana Moo Krob for breakfast, I would definitely be having Pad Pak Ruam Moo Krob or Stir-fried vegetables with crispy pork.
