A New Chapter : Living and Teaching in Cambodia

If you’re planning to move and teach abroad, consider Cambodia!

Known as the Kingdom of Wonder, Cambodia is famous for its stunning temples, including Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, and Bayon. Located in Southeast Asia, it shares borders with Thailand, Vietnam, and Laos.

As a developing country with a population of over 16 million, Cambodia offers a unique cultural experience. The official language is Khmer, but English is commonly spoken in tourist areas. While the Cambodian riel is the official currency, US dollars are also widely accepted.

Here are some photos taken in Phnom Penh.

I have been living in Phnom Penh for about five years now, and it has been an incredible experience. I initially came to Cambodia at a friend’s invitation, and when I arrived in 2018, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to stay. Looking back, I’m so glad I did.

I’d like to share some insights from my own experiences, as well as those of my friends, that may help you decide whether to move to and live in Cambodia.

Thanks for reading!
