Mad Dog

Mad Dog is a 16-episode drama that aired on KBS 2 in 2017 . It stars Yoo Ji Tae, Woo Do Hwan, Ryu Hwayoung, Jo Jae Yun, and Kim Hye-Seong. It tells the story of an insurance investigators team formed and led by Choi Kang- Woo (Yoo Ji Tae), a former police officer. Together, they investigate insurance fraud cases. What I admire about the drama is how the characters evolve as the story progresses. You’ll discover how they are related in each other’s life. If you enjoy crime dramas or just anything that involves investigations, then this may be for you. Watch the teaser here.
Criminal Minds
Criminal Minds Korea is a 20-episode remake of the original American show that aired on TVN in 2017. It stars Son Hyun-Joo, Lee Joon-gi, Moon Chae-won, Yoo Sun, Lee Sun-bin, and Go Yoon. If you enjoyed watching Criminal Minds US, surely, you’ll find this Korean version very interesting. Check out the teaser here.
Vampire Prosecutor

Vampire Prosecutor is an OCN drama that has two seasons. My Korean student introduced this drama to me during our speaking lessons. He strongly recommended it, so I watched it, and I got hooked. Season 1 had 12 episodes and aired in 2011, while Season 2 had 11 episodes and aired in 2012. Both seasons star Yeon Jung-hoon as Min-Tae-yeon. He is bitten by a vampire but refuses to become one. Instead, he drinks blood from the deceased and lives a righteous life as a prosecutor. Together with his team, he investigates crimes using his supernatural abilities. Check it out here.
The Vampire Detective

The Vampire Detective is a spin-off of Vampire Prosecutor. It is a 12-episode drama shown in 2016. It stars Lee Joon and Oh Jung-se. Yoon San played by Lee Joon is a private detective who turned into a vampire. Together with Yong Goo-Hyung (Oh Jung-se), they solve crimes while uncovering secrets from the past.
