Brown Coffee and Bakery, Phnom Penh

Need some coffee?

Brown Coffee and Bakery is just around the corner!

Whenever my friends and I want some coffee or just need downtime, Brown Coffee is often a choice. Why? It’s the taste and the price plus the proximity. It seems like Brown Coffee is in every place in Phnom Penh. According to its website, Brown Coffee was founded by young Cambodian entrepreneurs who were inspired by the blossoming coffee culture in 2009. When I searched Google Maps, 19 locations showed up. I’m not sure how accurate it is but it's safe to say there are more than 10 branches all around PP.

What we like about Brown Coffee, aside from the food, price and proximity, is the interior design and theme. Every branch is unique. I have been to five branches so far and each gives a different vibe. The customers range from students to business people. Whenever I go to any branch, I observe students, sometimes in a group, studying together while taking a sip of their favorite drink. You can also see business people conducting meetings.

They don’t only serve coffee and pastry, they also serve salads, sandwiches and pasta. My personal faves are Chicken Salsa Salad and Chicken Cordon Bleu Pasta . For beverages, I would always order Caramel Macchiato Frappé, Passion fruit smoothie, Palm and Cookies Frappe or Soya Vanilla Strawberry Frappe. Check out the menu here.
