One Day in Kuala Lumpur

I was thrilled to return to Kuala Lumpur and see my cousin, who I hadn't seen in about seven years. It was a lovely reunion filled with chitchatting, eating, and sightseeing. We just had a day to spend together, and these were the highlights.

Have brunch at Congkak

We wanted to have some Malay food, and Congkak came up in our searches. We had a great dining experience. The lady who served us was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious! However, we made the mistake of not asking about the serving size. We ended up ordering more than we could eat. We loved the dessert, pulut hitam bubur (glutinous rice with sugar and coconut milk)!

Thean Hou Temple is a stunning and must-see temple in KL. It is one of the oldest and largest Chinese temples in South East Asia. These are some of the photos we took.

Buy souvenirs at Central Market

The weather prevented us from visiting The Petronas Towers and Menara KL as planned. It poured heavily! We wandered around KLCC Mall hoping for the rain to stop. It didn’t so we decided to go back to our accommodation.

Fortunately, we could have a nice view from the swimming pool area of one of the buildings where we were staying. It offers views of the Petronas Towers, Merdeka 118, and Menara KL.

It was a lovely day! Kuala Lumpur is one of the cities I would love to visit again.

Thanks for reading!
